In a surprising crossover event that defies traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Revealed

According to the formal release, "A mysterious meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of forbidden rituals and fearsome changes resonate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden group.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre tests and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses

The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Material

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana together with several items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
