Homeowners witnessed large ice chunks reaching sizes of 7 centimeters in some areas. Meteorological experts announced that various areas across the state had been hit with large hailstones.

State Emergency Services handled over five hundred emergency reports across the area, mainly for structural issues but also for fallen timber and water accumulation.

Meteorological Predictions
Humid circumstances were expected to linger along much of eastern Queensland this next several days as a atmospheric system continued to pull in damp air against the shoreline.
